Planning the next quilt - wonky cross

I have gathered some black, white and grey toned fabrics for a, what I hope is going to be, a modern looking quilt. I have fallen in love with the "wonky cross" design and planning to do something similar. I haven't yet decided how wide the crosses are going to be or if I am going to make them all the same width, or more random. There is plenty of inspiration on Pinterest, including in my own quilt board .

OK, so I might be a bit hooked. Just a real shame there is only one episode left of the series. Hopefully there'll be another one coming soon! The three challenges each week have included one "surprise" where the contestants have had to follow a pattern, one alteration and finally one where they need to make a tailored garment for a live model. For the latter one of these, they have been asked to prepare beforehand by bringing fabric and patterns. In the surprise section they have made an a-line skirt with an invisible zip, men's trousers and a shirred child's dress. The alterations have included adding pockets to a high-street skirt, altering a neckline and making a loose-fitting dress more shapely. The more demanding or at least time-consuming challenges have included an every-day dress, a blouse in silky material and now latest, a jacket. The final episode is on next Tuesday 23 April and should include an evening dress. Personally, the only thing
