UK Mini Swap for Instagram users - thank you

In November last year I kicked off a UK Mini Swap, for Instagram users, with a postal address in the United Kingdom.  When I opened the signups, I was hoping for 20-25 people to join. To get another 100 on top of that was rather mind blowing!!!

There were some amazing minis made in this swap and I have included some below (in the order provided by Instagram). If you are an Instgram user, a search for  #ukminiswapreceived should give all received minis (if correctly tagged). Alternatively, do a google search for the same hashtag and you should be able to see a selection too.

To those whose minis were never acknowledged as received, I can only say that it sucks.... and that I am truly sorry that it had to happen despite us trying to spot the flakes early one.  As a result, a few new names have been added to the global Swap Black List.

Our Angels are busy making new minis for those who still haven't received any and hopefully everyone should have received a mini within the next few days.

The work with the pall for the Swedish Church in London is progressing, slowly. I published a photo of the middle section, the road, in October ( click for entry ). At the moment we are working on the four areas around the road, each representing a season. As everything is hand sewn it is a rather slow process, but great fun! Our latest thinking is that we should try to focus the summer season on blue, yellow and red to make sure they all match each other. Some of the "flowers" in the picture above has therefore been moved to other seasons or been put in the "perhaps" pile. A rough count in the photos shows that we have stitched together a little over 500 hexagons, plus the road; someone mentioned that we probably need around 2000...
