I am trying to finish the piecing of a few quilt tops before I might get told I have a new office based assignment for the next few months... This one is inspired by the Smitten pattern, which I saw pictures of online, but I did my own take on it, including altered the fabrics for the points. All the blue fabric, is scraps I had a home, or old shirts / dresses, including one ball gown! I still need to decide border, backing and binding but I have a few options after the fabric shopping trip earlier this week.

I had intended to submit this quilt for an exhibition, but unfortunately I have now missed the deadline. Perhaps I can still submit it next year? Although, by then I might have another that I like?

We were almost 20 Swedes attending a guided tour of the Kaffe Fassett exhibition "A life in colour". Our guide was the enthusiastic and extremly friendly Celia Joicey, Head of Fashion and Textile Museum, London. So much inspiration and COLOURS!!!!!  I really fell for the patchwork, rather than the needlepoint or paintings (sorry). Photography was permitted at the exhibition (but no flash), so I am hoping it is also OK to share the photos online.
